The First Sin

UNDERSTANDING : The First sin

WHY DO WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND IT?: There was a need to cleanse Heaven and punish Satan and his angels.

Okay.  There is a temple in heaven.  Yep. In Exodus 24: 17 , God called Moses out of the midst of a cloud.  God’s glory was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain.  In verse 18 Moses went into the midst of the cloud.  Exodus 25: 8-9, Moses was told to make a sanctuary after the pattern that was shown to him.  Hebrews 8:1-5 sums up the purpose for the things that were made for the temple.  They were to serve as an example and a shadow of heavenly things, and act as a parable for things to come.

Lucifer was in heaven when he sinned.  Isaiah 14:12-15 points out that he wanted to be like the Most High.  This is good to keep in mind since he still does.  Rev 12:9 says the devil and his angels were cast onto the earth.  Jesus the Christ testifies in Luke 10:18 that Satan fell like lightning to the earth.  When Adam sinned the earth was defiled.  The same thing took place in heaven, when Lucifer and his angels sinned heaven was defiled.  There was a need to cleanse heaven and punish his angels

The process of an innocent lamb covering the sin of the people was the pattern that God gave the people.   This pattern would reveal to them that the true Lamb would come and cleanse, (not cover but cleanse) the temple in heaven and the people. The people would become the temple on earth. 1 Corinthians 3:16/ 2 Cor 6:16

There is a time for everything. (Ecclesiates 3:1-8) A time to be born and a time to die.  A time to cry and a time to laugh. Whether I cry or laugh depends on the memory and my mood, but I keep a deep current of hope that comes from the words of the Life giver, Jesus the Christ. He says in, John 14: 1 -6, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled.”…”I go am going to prepare a place for you”…”so that you will always be with me where I am.” 1 Cor 2:9 Tells us that, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” There are even more comforting words in 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18.

So when my thoughts move between the memories of my mom’s life and her death, I remember I have every intention on meeting her by the tree of life. I remember she showed me the way to get where she is, just as Jesus showed his disciples how to follow Him. John 14:4-4 says, “And you know the way to where I am going.”  Jesus said. “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said.
We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus told him. “I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one can come to the Father except through me.”  I am convinced that nothing can separate us from the love that God has for us. Not even death. (Romans 8:38-39)
